data sheet HMC7885 rev. 0 | page 9 of 11 applications informa tion to turn on the a mplifier , complete the following steps : 1. set v g 1 and v g 2 to ? 5 v. 2. set v dd 1 and v dd 2 to +28 v. 3. ramp the gate voltage until the quiescent current (i dd ) = 1100 ma per side (2200 ma total) . 4. apply the rf input power. to turn off the a mplifier , complete the following steps : 1. remove the rf input power. 2. set v g 1 and v g 2 to ? 5 v. 3. set v dd 1 and v dd 2 to 0 v. 4. set v g 1 and v g 2 to 0 v.
